Recap: The Business Tip Off 2025

Las Vegas was buzzing last weekend, and The Players Impact brought its signature energy to the heart of it all with our annual Business Tip-Off event. Designed to unite athletes, investors, and operators, the afternoon delivered powerful conversations, new connections, and a look into what’s next for athlete-led business leadership.
Hosted at The Barbershop inside The Cosmopolitan, the event created a dynamic, intimate space for candid dialogue around investing, entrepreneurship, and wealth-building beyond the game. The program featured insightful panels on topics like athlete investing trends, asset management strategies, and community-driven business models.
The lineup of speakers and fireside chats did not disappoint. Industry leaders and athlete-entrepreneurs including Chris Hetherington (Fathead), Josh Childress (LandSpire Group), Jori Davis (Wevolv), and Dan Burns (Aescape) shared firsthand experiences navigating business ventures, capital markets, and the unique opportunities available to athletes in the private investing space. Attendees walked away with tactical insights and fresh perspective on the growing power of athlete-driven deal flow and impact.
Beyond the conversations, the Business Tip-Off was a celebration of community — bringing together a diverse, forward-thinking group of operators, investors, and athlete-founders all aligned around building wealth and opportunities both on and off the court. The energy in the room was undeniable as new partnerships were formed, venture opportunities discussed, and future collaborations sparked.
Thank you to our speakers, partners, and the incredible TPI community for making this event one to remember. The Business Tip-Off was another reminder of what’s possible when athletes take ownership of their financial futures and business leadership — and we’re just getting started.
See you at the next one.
